- Many siblings, lots of nephews and nieces, about sixty first cousins.
- Married to Lynda (also a teacher) - we have raised three fine young adults.
- Teaching for thirty years - First principalship in 1991
- Have taught in Porirua, Chatham Islands, Gisborne, Rotorua, Picton, Samoa, Christchurch.
- Have been principal in six schools across New Zealand and Samoa
- Enjoy sport (mainly watching it nowadays!), biking, reading, gardening, family time.
